Why I Created Power Within Her
From the outside, it appeared as though I was navigating life as a single parent with determined focus and ease. But beneath the surface, my journey was marked by a series of profound challenges. My divorce took its toll, stripping away the sense of identity I once had. It felt like each piece of my heart was being torn apart, leaving me grappling with an overwhelming sense of loss.
Amid my personal battles, I faced the hidden shame of feeling like I had failed, both as a wife and a parent. The enormous task of rebuilding my life while raising my children alone seemed impossible at times. There were days when discouragement shadowed every decision I made and nights when the silence echoed my deepest fears and regrets. I felt so alone but didn't let anyone know. Which left me feeling isolated.
One of the Hardest Chapters
Watching my mother, my rock and example of strength, compassion and love, battle lung cancer was so difficult. She showed unwavering resilience, even as this merciless beast took its toll on her. Her suffering was a sharp reminder of life's fragility and losing her was a devastating blow that compounded the challenges I was already facing.
Through All of These Struggles
The divorce, single parenting, lost identity, weathering the chaos of addiction in my family and losing my mother - a transformation of my spirit began to emerge. Without knowing it, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery, determined to find strength within myself with one goal, to make it to the next day and give my children a happy life. It was a path filled with sacrifice, as every step required shedding beliefs of my old identity and forging ones. This process was neither fast nor easy; it demanded a continuous commitment to me, my personal growth and my self-worth.
Because I Refused to Give Up
I discovered the power of determination and the beauty of resilience. Each setback became an opportunity for growth and every moment of despair a catalyst for what brought the woman I was back to life. I learned to rebuild, not only my life, but also my self-confidence, recognizing that my worth was not defined by my past but by the strength I discovered as I made the choice each day to be Me.
My Story
It is a testament to the unstoppable human spirit that shows; no matter how deep the struggle, there is always a path to rebuilding and rediscovering yourself. I wrote and then created Power Within Her to share my journey with those who face similar challenges and so they don't spend years trying to rediscover who they are. My story is why I do what I do. I want every woman to know, she is not alone and she is stronger than anything that can happen to her. I will walk your path with you as you discover the amazing person you are!
